All About PTE Format

PTE – (The Pearson Test of English) is an English language examination which aims to test non-native English language. It is completely online computer based exam which is computerized evaluated. To appear in PTE exam, Pearson secure test centers are located across the world, where exam can be given just booked their exam before 24 hours.

The PTE exam is conducted in main three parts taking a cumulative time of three - hours to complete exam excluding 10 - minute optional break after finishing reading section and before starting listening section. During Speaking & writing exam, both appear together in part 1, Reading and listening have individual parts. To access speaking and listening part, headset is provided to record and listen the response and 20 different question format you will get from multiple choice questions to write essay and fill up the accurate word.

This part contains the total question 35-42 and 77-93 minutes are given to attempt the speaking and writing section.

The speaking skills are tested by your ability of uttering English and Writing skills are evaluated by your given writing response in grammar, spelling and line structure in the academic environment.

It is an integrated skill section, where speaking and writing are tested including listening and reading.

In reading part 2, the ability of understanding the English written text is tested.

This section contains the total 15-20 questions having independent five type items ranging from multiple questions, Re-order paragraph to fill in the blanks.

The total overall time to attempt the reading part -2 is 29-30 minutes or depends on the item in a real exam. PTE- Academic is an integrated skill based test and there one item (reading & writing: fill the blanks) checked your writing skills including reading.
